GamCare launched Project Nexus in July 2026 to evaluate emerging technologies for gambling harm support services. The charity aims to upgrade its educational and treatment frameworks through a targeted market engagement exercise.
The initiative examines supplier solutions across customer communications, case management, safeguarding, reporting, and data management. GamCare intends to build a technology environment that enables an integrated, person-centered, and data-informed service model. The organization plans to streamline user pathways from initial assessment through treatment and aftercare.
Operational and Data Integration Goals
The charity seeks to improve multi-channel service access, enhance safeguarding visibility, and ensure timely information retrieval for staff. Additional objectives include strengthening operational reporting, improving interoperability with healthcare systems and partner organizations, and maintaining strict information governance standards.
The organization previously received funding from the UK Office for Health Improvement and Disparities statutory levy to support these harm reduction efforts.
